A third fuel tank was removed from the swim platform and the bottom of the
swim platform was enlarged so that the 230-volt generator could be placed from the engine room into
the swim platform.The standpipes were replaced with screw-in bronze penetrations;
Water drains were installed in the engine room where they were missing;
Installation of a large, electrically operated daylight hatch in the cabin deck so that the
engines could be completely removed from the ship and replaced.
